Founder & CEO at BanQu

Ashish Gadnis is the founder and CEO of BanQu, a blockchain based financial inclusion platform. Gadnis has a passion for using technology to empower people living in poverty and has been involved with several organizations working to achieve this goal.

Gadnis began their career as a software evangelist with RSM US LLP, a accounting and consulting firm. While there, Gadnis helped clients implement new software solutions and provided training on how to use them. In 2012, Gadnis left RSM to co-found BanQu.

BanQu is a decentralized platform that allows for financial inclusion by creating a digital identity for people who are often left out of the formal financial system. The BanQu platform has been used by over 1.2 million people in over 50 countries.

In addition to their work with BanQu, Gadnis is also an advisor with UN Women, partnering with the team to create gender equality in the world. Gadnis has also volunteered with the Future Chapel Project, working to build a chapel for the Carmelite Hermitage of The Blessed Virgin Mary.

Ashish Gadnis has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management with a focus in finance and marketing. Ashish also has a degree in global leadership and public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
