Melina M. Katende

Melina M. Katende has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2013 as an Executive Assistant at Infratel Networks Pty. Ltd. In 2014, they worked as an I.T Business Analyst at Bitventure, where their responsibilities included liaising with clients and partners to establish business requirements, compiling Business and Functional requirements documents, and performing User Acceptance Testing. In 2017, they held a similar role at Chase Software (South Africa). In 2018, they co-founded Blockchain Entrepreneurs Club South Africa and Blink, where they also served as Managing Director. In 2019, they worked as an I.T Business Analyst at IoT.nxt and, in 2020, they began their current role as Senior Account Manager at BanQu Inc., where they are responsible for ensuring the delivery of large scale roll outs in the Recycling, Agricultural and Finance sectors, communicating with clients to understand their needs, and building relationships with clients based on trust and respect.

Melina M. Katende has an extensive educational background. In 2019, they completed a course in Organizational Leadership from Harvard Business School Online. In 2017-2018, they earned a Master of Commerce in I.T Management from the University of Johannesburg, and in 2015-2016, they earned an Honours Degree in Informatics from the same institution. Melina completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Information Technology from the University of Johannesburg in 2008-2011. In addition to their degree qualifications, Melina has obtained several certifications, including Verified International Academic Qualifications from World Education Services in 2021, Introduction to Amazon Managed Blockchain from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2021, and Blockchain: Beyond the Basics from LinkedIn in 2018.
