Dirk Mevis

Dirk Mevis is an experienced economic analyst currently serving in the Secretariat of the Systemic Risk Committee at Banque centrale du Luxembourg since April 2022. Previously, Dirk has held positions related to macroprudential supervision at the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier from February 2017 to May 2023, and served as both a Senior Banking Sector Expert and Banking Sector Expert at the European Stability Mechanism between May 2013 and January 2017. Earlier roles include working as an Economist in the Financial Stability Department at Banque Centrale du Luxembourg from October 2011 to April 2013, and as an Advisor to the Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund from May 2008 to September 2011. Dirk’s academic foundation stems from studies at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität from 1999 to 2005.
