Wael Lashin

Wael Lashin has extensive work experience in the field of IT infrastructure and telecommunications. Wael is currently working at Banque du Caire as the Head of IT Infrastructure & Telecommunications Division, where they lead and directs various departments related to technology platforms, cloud computing, systems and networks. Wael is responsible for optimizing the performance of IT infrastructure and ensuring the installation and maintenance of new infrastructure components. Prior to this role, Wael served as the Head of IT Change and Release Patch Management Department at Banque du Caire, where they validated change requests and implemented a strict change control process. Wael also has experience as the Head of IT Network Security Operation Department at Banque du Caire, where they designed and managed a comprehensive strategic information security and IT risk management system. Before joining Banque du Caire, Wael worked at AlexBank as the Network and Security Group Leader and Senior Network Security Engineer, where they were involved in designing and implementing security solutions for data centers and disaster recovery sites. Wael also worked at Integrated Development Consultants (IDC) as a Projects Coordinator and at the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) as a Network Administrator, where they were responsible for various network integration projects and infrastructure upgrades.

Wael Lashin obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from Helwan University Cairo from 1998 to 2003. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications including Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst from Udemy, Certified Ethical Hacker C|EH v11 from EC-Council, and various other certifications related to project management, cybersecurity, and digital transformation from institutions such as Udemy, Cybrary, and LinkedIn.
