Ismail Tokmeci

Ismail Tokmeci has extensive experience in health and safety management. Ismail began their career as a Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Supervisor at Prokon Mühendislik ve Müşavirlik A.Ş. from 2003 to 2004. Ismail then worked as a Projects' Health Safety Environment (HSE) Manager at Ergon Health Safety Environment Inc. from 2005 to 2010. Ismail later served as a Construction Health and Safety (HS) Manager at Eldorado Gold Corporation from 2010 to 2012. Ismail then took on the role of HSE Training Manager at Bechtel-Enka Joint Venture for the Muscat International Airport Project from 2012 to 2013, where they developed and delivered OHS&E training programs. Ismail's next position was as an HSE Manager at Tekfen Construction, where they managed the Occupational Health Safety & Environment (OHS&E) Management System for the Baku Olympic Stadium Project from 2013 to 2014. In this role, they managed complex projects including a mall, high-rise residential buildings, and a carpark. Ismail's most recent positions include Health and Safety Coordinator and subsequently Health and Safety Manager at Crosslinx Transit Solutions, where they worked from 2016 to 2021. Ismail was responsible for the coordination and management of health and safety on various transit projects. Finally, Ismail is currently serving as the Health and Safety Director at Bantrel Co., a position they assumed in December 2021.

Ismail Tokmeci obtained a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from Dokuz Eylul University, during the period from 1996 to 2003. In 2012, they received a Certificate in International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from NEBOSH. Later, in 2016 and 2017, Ismail earned a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from the University of Toronto. In addition to their academic degrees, Ismail also holds additional certifications in Occupational Health and Safety from both NEBOSH and the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies.
