Amala Jacob

Amala Jacob's most recent work experience is as a Software Engineer at Banyan Cloud, starting in December 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the NATIONAL CENTRE FOR EARTH SCIENCE STUDIES (NCESS) from April 2019 to March 2022 as an Analyst and Project Assistant.

Amala Jacob holds a Master's degree in Geo-Information Science and Technology from the Inter University Centre for Geospatial Information Science and Technology, which they completed from 2017 to 2018. Prior to this, they earned a Master of Science degree from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, between 2015 and 2017. Amala also holds a Bachelor's degree in Science, obtained from the University of Kerala from 2012 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Amala has obtained certifications in Spatial data science from Esri in November 2022 and Engineering with Python from the International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS) in May 2021.
