Amala Jacob

Amala Jacob's most recent work experience is as a Software Engineer at Banyan Cloud, starting in December 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the NATIONAL CENTRE FOR EARTH SCIENCE STUDIES (NCESS) from April 2019 to March 2022, where they held the role of Analyst and Project Assistant.

Amala Jacob obtained a Master's degree in Geo-Information Science and Technology from the Inter University Centre for Geospatial Information Science and Technology, which they attended from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science degree from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, from 2015 to 2017. Amala earned their Bachelor's degree in Science from the University of Kerala, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in Spatial data science from Esri in November 2022 and in Engineering with Python from the International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS) in May 2021.
