Michelle Shafer

Michelle Shafer is a Principal at BanyanGlobal Family Business Advisors since June 2021, where expertise in family, business, finance, ownership, and philanthropy is leveraged to challenge clients while respecting their accomplishments. Previously, Michelle worked as a Consultant at OXYGY from November 2019 to June 2021, focusing on integrating management consultancy, digital innovation, and legal expertise. Michelle holds a Master’s degree in Social-Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, completed in 2020, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hamilton College, earned in 2014. Additional experiences include roles in talent and organizational development at NBCUniversal Media, research administration at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and various positions in youth and community services.
