Robert Butler

Robert Butler has worked in the tech industry since 2004. In 2004, they worked as a Technical Intern at Fidelity Investments. Robert then worked as an Assistant Software Developer at HTRI (Heat Transfer Research, Inc.) in 2005 and as a Software Engineer I and II at Raytheon in 2006. From 2009 to 2012, they held the role of Business Intelligence Consultant at Artis Consulting, Founder & CEO at Pancake Technology, LLC, and CTO at NotaryBridge, LLC. In 2013, they began working as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Mixbook, where they worked on the engineering leadership team in 2020 to address and reduce tech debt. In 2019, they led a project to save AWS cloud hosting costs equivalent to ~3% of annual revenue. In 2020, they began working as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Step, where they hardened and scaled Google Cloud infrastructure for public launch of Step's main application and developed automated build and deployment pipelines for Step's microservice architecture. Robert currently works as a Lead Software Engineer at Banyan Infrastructure, where they are responsible for system architecture and making sure the system is designed to support the features and growth needed over the next several years.

Robert Butler attended Texas A&M University from 2002 to 2006 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
