Mahesh Amitha

Mahesh Amitha is an experienced professional in audit, risk, and compliance, currently serving as Group Head of Audit at Bapco Energies since February 2024. Previously, Mahesh held the position of Chief Audit, Risk and Compliance Officer at Bahrain Petroleum Company from May 2022 to June 2024. A substantial part of Mahesh's career was spent at bp, where roles included VP Finance - Sustainability Transformation, Vice President Finance, Head of Separation Management Office, Audit Director, and Group Audit Manager, contributing notably to sustainability initiatives and managing extensive audit portfolios. Mahesh also worked as an Independent Consultant in the not-for-profit sector and held various positions at Shell, including Group Internal Audit Manager and Financial Controller. Mahesh holds an MBA from the University of Houston and a BSc in Accounting & Business Administration from North Dakota State University.
