Jessica May

Pediatrician at BCHS

Dr. Jessica May is a pediatrician at BCHS and a founding biology teacher. Jessica has dedicated their career to helping students achieve their academic goals. Jessica began their career as a program director at Breakthrough of Greater Philadelphia, where they oversaw the development and delivery of academic enrichment and college preparation programs for middle and high school students. Jessica then served as the assistant director of academics at Belmont Charter Network, where they oversaw the development and delivery of intensive academic enrichment programs for seventh and eighth grade students. In their current position, they are responsible for direct supervision of two site managers. Jessica is also a liaison between BCHS and key representatives from its host site, Drexel University.

Jessica May has a Masters in Secondary Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Religious Studies from Elizabethtown College. Jessica also attended High School.

Jessica May works with Mark Sands - Mark Sands, MD Psychiatrist, Tina Benandi - Director of Revenue Cycle Management, and Megan Thiel - Director of Behavioral Health. Jessica May reports to Jeremy Simmons, CEO.
