Joanna Baxter

Joanna Baxter is a versatile professional with extensive experience in community relations and writing. Currently a Community Relations Specialist at Baptist Housing since February 2021, Joanna has also contributed as a Writer and Editor for The Wordshop Collective since July 2019, and serves as an author of Creative Non-Fiction, with work published in SFU's 2018 Emerge Anthology. Joanna possesses a strong background in community engagement, having previously worked with Weather Cannabis and Henson Developers Limited in similar roles. Additionally, as Principal Designer at Lover Fighter since 2011, Joanna emphasizes quality craftsmanship. Education credentials include a Certificate of Creative Writing from Simon Fraser University and BA degrees in Political Science and French Language and Literature from the University of Victoria. Furthermore, Joanna co-founded the SpIEL Reading Series to promote inclusive literary events in Vancouver.
