Erik Mercado

Erik Mercado is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in security operations and incident response. Currently serving as the Tech Director of the Security Operations Center at Baptist Health since August 2023, Erik previously held the position of AVP of Cyber Security Operations Center at Saks, where responsibilities included overseeing IT infrastructure and technology consulting within Saks Cloud Services. Other notable roles include serving as DVP of Governance Risk & Compliance and Cyber Security Operations Center at The Bay, and Director of Incident Response at Hudson's Bay Company, where Erik established critical incident response and forensic programs. Erik's earlier career includes directorships in digital investigations and professional services at Innovative Discovery, LLC, and AccessData, respectively, alongside consulting roles focused on forensic data collection and analysis at Navigant Consulting, FTI Consulting, and LECG. Erik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The City College of New York.
