Gil Epstein

Gil Epstein is an accomplished academic and professional with extensive experience in economics and higher education. Currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Bar-Ilan University since January 1996, Epstein oversees the largest and most diverse faculty within the institution, consisting of 12 departments. As a Professor of Economics, Epstein has also held various leadership roles, including Dean of The Center for Designated Programs and School of Graduate Studies, where foundational work on graduate education was completed. In addition to academic responsibilities, Epstein is the founder of PERFECTOR, a company focused on creating applications for multiple-choice exams, and has provided consulting services across various economic sectors. Epstein has contributed to several prestigious journals as an associate editor and holds multiple research fellowships, further enhancing the academic landscape. Education includes a PhD in Economics and Statistics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a postdoctoral degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
