Joe la Placa

Joe La Placa is a seasoned professional in the art industry, currently serving as the Director of Cardi Gallery Mayfair since August 2017, specializing in post-war and contemporary art. La Placa also holds the position of Chief Advisor for the critically acclaimed exhibition "Basquiat: Boom for Real" at the Barbican Centre since January 2015. Previous roles include CEO of All Visual Arts, a consultant for Collectrium, and Director of artnet UK, where significant contributions were made to expand the gallery network. La Placa's background includes work as the Foreign Editor for ArtReview and as an audio engineer and producer. La Placa is also an accomplished co-author of art and psychology-related publications and has an educational foundation in fine arts from the School of Visual Arts.
