Katherine Palacios

Kathy Palacios is an accomplished professional in the field of linguistics, specializing in translation and project management. Currently serving as a Translations Project Manager and Linguist at Barbier International, Inc. since October 2022, Kathy has contributed to various projects involving medical, educational, legal, and insurance terminology, facilitating translations between English and Spanish. Prior experience includes roles as a Translator, Transcriber, and Proofreader at Amarilla Group, where Kathy provided quality assurance and translation services for audio materials, and as a Proofreader for Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana, focusing on legal English content. Additionally, Kathy worked as a Freelance Translator for Hope of Life International, translating agricultural manuals. Kathy obtained a BA in Linguistics with a focus on translation and interpretation from Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala in May 2022.
