John Mathers

John Mathers currently serves as the Head of Barclays Corporate Bank for Northern Ireland, a position held since March 2023. Prior to this role, John was a Director in the Large Corporate division at Barclays Corporate Banking from August 2015 to March 2023. With a strong background in banking, John also held the position of Acting Regional Business Manager and Senior Business Manager at Bank of Ireland from March 2007 to July 2015. Earlier in John’s career, a managerial role was undertaken at Deloitte from 2004 to 2007. Academic credentials include an MA in Advanced Accounting from the University of Ulster and a BSc in Accounting from Queen's University Belfast.
