Aaron Spence

Aaron Spence is a seasoned professional in data engineering and product ownership, currently serving as Vice President and Lead Data Engineer/Product Owner at Barclays since May 2020, where leadership includes overseeing a team of 15 and developing a cutting-edge ML Ops platform. Previously, Aaron held the role of Assistant Vice President at Barclays, contributing to the creation of the first production Data Science Analytics platform and serving as the lead architect for the ML Ops platform. Prior experience includes data development at Sainsbury's Bank and engineering roles at Thales and Students for Malawi. Aaron holds a Master of Engineering degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, completed in 2017.
