Andy McMahon

Andy McMahon is a Principal AI Engineer at Barclays, specializing in machine learning and MLOps. With a PhD in Physics from Imperial College London, they have a rich background in data science and technical management, contributing solutions across various industries including logistics, energy, and finance. Andy has been recognized as a “Rising Star of the Year” at the British Data Awards and was named one of the “Rising Stars in Data and Analytics” by Driven by Data magazine in 2024. They are also a guest lecturer at the University of Oxford and the University of Warsaw, sharing expertise in AI strategy and MLOps. Additionally, Andy has authored the book "Machine Learning Engineering with Python," further contributing to the field as a speaker and co-organiser of MLClub.
