Jon Thompson

Jon Thompson is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in data protection, AI security, and technology infrastructure. Currently serving as the CISO Head of Data Protection & AI Security and previously as CISO BX Strategic Change & Innovation at Barclays since 2013, Jon has a strong background in executing security solutions architecture and risk management. Prior to Barclays, Jon held various leadership roles at Macquarie Group, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase & Co., and Riverstone Consulting, where Jon was a founding partner and director. Jon's career began at BP as a Data and Voice Telecommunications Engineer, and Jon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from Middlesex University.
