Kate Close is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in the financial services industry. Currently serving as Managing Director, Tax at Barclays, Kate also holds the position of Head of Tax Reporting, Forecasting, Compliance & Governance and Barclays UK Tax Lead. Previously, Kate was the Head of Tax Reporting & Forecasting at Barclays and worked as a Senior Tax Manager in Tax Planning & Advisory at Lloyds Bank. Kate began their career at Deloitte UK as a Tax Manager in Corporate Tax and also served as a Senior Tax Consultant in Corporate Tax at Arthur Andersen & Co. Kate Close holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Durham University and is a member of ICAEW.
