Kelly Sowder possesses extensive experience in quality assurance and aircraft maintenance, having served in the United States Air Force from September 2021 to May 2023. During this time, Kelly held key positions including Director of the AMC Quality Assurance Supervision Course, where formal QA training was standardized for senior leaders overseeing 1,200 aircraft valued at $104 billion. Kelly managed a Quality Assurance program comprising 40 inspectors and analyzed data from over 500 monthly inspections to enhance safety and operational efficiency. Additional responsibilities included leading aircraft inspections and scheduled maintenance for 18 aircraft worth over $4.3 billion. Recently, Kelly worked as a Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellow and Project Management Officer (PMO) Analyst at Barclays from May 2023 to October 2023. Academic qualifications include an Associate of Science in both Instructor of Technology and Military Science, and Aviation Maintenance Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from Southern New Hampshire University.
