Paul Beresford

Paul Beresford is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in the banking sector. Currently serving as the Chief Information and Operating Officer at Barclays since October 2021, Paul oversees a range of operations across digital platforms, private banking, and consumer banking. Prior to Barclays, Paul held prominent roles at Standard Chartered Bank, including Chief Information Officer for Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau, as well as Global Head of Retail Banking and Channels Technology. Additional experience includes leadership positions at DBS Bank, ANZ, IBM, SMS Management & Technology, and Insurance My Way, contributing to a diverse skill set in digital technology, operations, and software engineering. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Western Australia.
