Sofie Petersen

Sofie Petersen is an experienced financial services professional currently serving as the Head of FIG Payments Products at Barclays since May 2024. Prior to this role, Sofie held various positions at Barclays Corporate Banking, including Head of FIG Clearing Products and Global Currency Clearing Product Manager from May 2020 to May 2024. Sofie's tenure at Barclays began in July 2012, where responsibilities included managing Proxy Payments and Mobile Collections and serving as the VP of Cash Products Business Management. Before joining Barclays, Sofie worked as a Consultant at Oliver Wyman from January 2010 to July 2012 and completed an internship at Winton Capital in late 2009. Sofie's educational background includes a Master's degree in Global Governance from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor's degree in Economic History from the London School of Economics. Additional education includes studies in Economics at the University of Oslo and a pre-university degree from United World College.
