Gerrit Vermeire

Gerrit Vermeire is an experienced professional in product management and marketing with a significant background in wireless connectivity technologies. Currently serving as Director of Product Management at Barco since December 2012, Gerrit previously held key roles at ST-Ericsson, including Director of Marketing Wireless Connectivity and Director of Business Development & Strategic Marketing, overseeing major technologies such as WLAN and GPS for top mobile phone manufacturers. Gerrit's career began at ST Microelectronics, where responsibilities included Director of Product Marketing for Wireless Connectivity and Product Marketing Manager for Bluetooth, contributing to product development and marketing strategies. Gerrit also worked at Alcatel Microelectronics as Product Line Manager for ADSL and Telecom ASICs. Academically, Gerrit earned a PhD in (Opto)Electronics - Telecommunication from Ghent University and an MSc in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the University of Ghent.
