Peter van de Winckel

Peter van de Winckel is an experienced procurement professional with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Procurement Manager at Barco since 2010, Peter focuses on global procurement of projection optics, including projection lenses, prism assemblies, X-Cubes, and reflectors. Prior to this role, Peter was the Category Purchasing Manager at Amcor Flexibles from 1988 to 2010, overseeing purchases for all European sites of polypropylene and nylon films, managing an annual spend of approximately €80 million, and executing supplier management and negotiation strategies. Peter's career began as a Management Trainee at BASF Belgium (1985-1987), where foundational sales and business experience was gained, including the establishment of a distribution network for garden fertilizers and phyto-pharmaceuticals. Peter holds a Bachelor and Post-Bachelor degree in Languages and Economics from Arteveldehogeschool, completed in 1987.
