Heather Topcik

Heather Topcik serves as the Dean and Director of Libraries at Bard College since January 2023, overseeing the Stevenson Library and associated sites, including the Levy Economics Institute Library and the Bard Visual Resources Center. In addition, Heather has been the Interim Director of Bard Libraries and Director of Research Collections at Bard Graduate Center since March 2001, managing the Research Library and leading a team of librarians. As the Chief Librarian and Reader Services Librarian for The Society for Domestic Museology since March 2013, Heather founded an initiative to foster discussions on art and ideas through home exhibitions. Heather's earlier experience includes coordinating interlibrary loans at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Educationally, Heather holds a Master of Library & Information Science and a Master of Arts in Art History from Pratt Institute, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Art History from the University of Michigan.
