Robert Townsend

Robert Townsend is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research, education, and clinical consultation. Currently serving as the Head of Research and Education and Senior Clinical Consultant at Bardavon since July 2017, Townsend previously held roles such as Instructor/Laboratory Director at the University of Memphis and Owner of Innovative Scientific Initiatives LLC. Townsend's earlier experience includes positions as Adjunct Professor at Benedictine University and Director of Research and Education at WCS Occupational, where significant contributions included authoring Functional Capacity Evaluation Guidelines and developing research protocols. With a strong foundational education in Exercise Physiology (M.S. from Benedictine University) and Biology (B.S. from Millikin University), Townsend has also held various roles involving strength and conditioning, coaching, and exercise physiology research throughout a career that spans over two decades.
