Sera Goksal

Sera Goksal has a diverse and impressive work experience. Sera has held various roles in different companies and organizations.

Starting in 2019, Sera co-founded Pokit, a mobile fintech app, which was selected to participate in the QNBeyond incubator program. After pitching to the Board of Directors, Pokit was acquired by QNB Finansbank and integrated into their mobile banking app.

In 2019, Sera also served as a Project Manager for the 9 Around the World free journalism initiative, overseeing daily news editing, story posts, and managing communication with correspondents and outreach.

Moving on to 2021, Sera worked as a Product Strategy Consultant at Slack, formulating strategies around education hub engagement and prototyping new features based on design interviews.

In 2022, Sera joined Pandora as a Product Consultant, conducting user and market research to improve user retention through the visualization of backend recommendation algorithms and designing high-fidelity prototypes for personalized listening analytics features.

The same year, they also worked at Google as a Technical Project Manager, leading a team to design and develop a technical education platform for Apache Beam.

In 2023, Sera interned at HP as a Software Product Manager, gaining experience in the role.

Sera is currently involved in Sustainable Entrepreneurship at Berkeley, where they serve as the Vice President External Relations and the Vice President of Projects, a position they will continue to hold after 2023.

Additionally, Sera has worked at BARE Magazine as the Director of Photography and as a Photographer & Creative Team Member, from 2022 to 2023.

Throughout their work experience, Sera has demonstrated their skills in project management, leadership, product strategy, and user research.

Sera Goksal completed their high school education from Hisar School in 2021, obtaining a High School Diploma with a focus on the Math and Science Track. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research at the University of California, Berkeley, expected to be completed in 2025.
