Sarah Montague's work experience begins in 2006 at DC Shoes, where they worked as an SMU Apparel Designer and later took on the role of Product Line Manager. During their time at DC Shoes, they designed and developed products for various retailers and contributed greatly to the record profit and SKU increase for the apparel department.

In 2009, Sarah joined Unionbay as a Youngmens/Boys Associate Apparel Designer. Sarah was responsible for designing all aspects of youngmens and boys bottoms for each season. Sarah also developed and oversaw the boys graphic catalog and traveled for research trips.

From 2013 to 2015, Sarah worked at Oregon State University as a Graphic Designer. Sarah designed printable media for events and effectively communicated sensitive subject material to the OSU community. Sarah also collaborated with printers to ensure high-quality products.

In 2015, Sarah joined Sundance Institute as a Sundance Film Festival / Graphic Designer. Sarah executed various design projects, including digital media, printed booklets, and large-scale banners. Sarah also played a key role in creating design elements for The Artist at the Table, the largest fundraising event for the Sundance Film Festival.

Currently, Sarah works at Barebones as a Creative Director, a position they started in April 2022. Prior to that, they held roles such as Art Director & Brand Manager, Art Director, Senior Visual Designer, and Visual Designer at the company. Sarah Montague attended Seattle Central College from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained an A.A.S. degree in Apparel Design. From 2012 to 2015, Sarah attended Oregon State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree with a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History.
