Christiane Engel

Christiane Engel has been an illustrator since 2003, when they began working for GOOD ILLUSTRATION LIMITED. Christiane then worked for Christiane Engel Illustration from 2005-2020. In 2016, they began working for Barefoot Books, Albert Whitman & Company, and Sterling Publishing as an illustrator. In 2017, they worked for Dinardo Design, Campbell Books, and Sterling Publishing. In 2019, they worked for Caterpillar Books Ltd. In 2020, they began working for OTTER-BARRY BOOKS LIMITED as an illustrator, and in 2022 they will be a speaker at the Hay Festival.

Christiane Engel attended the School of Arts, Kassel, Germany from 1998 to 2001, studying Visual Communication. Christiane then went on to Leeds Beckett University, where they completed their MA in Graphic Arts + Design in 2003.
