Emma Parkin has a wealth of experience in the publishing industry. Emma began their career in 2002 as a Project Editor, Commissioning Editor, and Acting Publisher at Tempus Publishing (now The History Press). In 2004, they moved to Barefoot Books where they held the positions of Group Executive Editor and Group Publishing Manager. In 2015, they co-founded Conker House Publishing Consultancy, where they serve as Director. Additionally, they held the role of Project Manager at The Pelican Post in 2015 and Commissioning Editor at Oxford University Press in 2018. Currently, they are the Editorial Director at Barefoot Books.
Emma Parkin studied at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Penrith, before attending the University of Cambridge from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a 2.1 in Japanese Studies.
