Senior Publishing Operations Associate at Barefoot Books

Lora Dunn-Hardy began their career in 2011 as a Resident Safety Representative at Hofstra University. In 2014, they joined the MIT Museum as a Visitor Services Facilitator, where they were responsible for gallery and school group attendant duties, ticket and shop sales, and gallery care and exhibit maintenance. Lora then moved to the Mary Baker Eddy Library in 2016, where they were a Lead Visitor Services Associate, supervising the day to day functions of the Visitor Services department. In 2017, Lora joined Go Ahead Tours, where they held two roles: Program Coordinator and Traveler Support-Regional Specialist. As Program Coordinator, they were the primary liaison between customer facing teams and global operations teams, and they prioritized, managed, and processed customer requests. As Traveler Support-Regional Specialist, they acted as an expert on tours for all customers, proactively owning certain tours and working with customers to set expectations and arrange travel plans. Finally, in 2021, Lora joined Barefoot Books as a Publishing Operations Associate.

Lora Dunn-Hardy completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Geography and Psychology from Hofstra University between 2010 and 2014. Lora then went on to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies from Harvard Extension School between 2016 and 2017.
