Stella Smeaton has been working in the finance and operations field since 1995. Stella began their career at Genesis Consolidated Services as an Accounts Receivable Manager. In 2007, they took on roles as a Temporary Credit & Collections Analyst at Graphique De France and a Temporary Credit & Collections Specialist at Boston Coach. Stella then joined Barefoot Books as Financial Operations and Office Manager, where they made significant improvements across all areas tied to the accounts receivable and collections process, improved account relationships, collections, and the reconciliation processes with finance, and reduced the number of days that sales are outstanding. Stella was later promoted to Global Operations Manager.

Stella Smeaton obtained an A.S. degree in Medical Administrative/Executive Assistant and Medical Secretary from the New England Institute of Technology in 1989. In 2018, they also obtained a certification in Technical Support Fundamentals from Coursera.
