Richard Koen

Richard Koen serves as the Global Finance Director at Barenbrug Group, a position held since July 2025, where the focus is on driving value across the organization. Prior to this role, Richard held senior finance positions at Neste, where as Senior Manager for Business Finance Global Production, leadership was provided to Finance Business Control teams globally and in Neste's Renewables production sites, along with significant transformations in business control. Richard also served as Finance Director at The HEINEKEN Company, overseeing financial control and the successful split of the company into distinct entities. Additional experiences include leading a Shared Service Centre at Nigerian Breweries Plc, directing financial operations at Heineken Belarus, and holding various roles in internal audit and assurance at PepsiCo and Ernst & Young. Richard's educational background includes advanced degrees in accounting and auditing from Nyenrode Business University and training in international management from INSEAD.
