Mark A. Cates, PE, is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in leading multi-discipline engineering projects across various sectors, including automotive, manufacturing, healthcare, education, and commercial facilities. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Barge Design Solutions, Inc., Mark specializes in design build and design bid build contracts. Prior to this role, Mark held several managerial positions at SSOE Group, overseeing structural departments and managing the design of diverse projects, ranging from healthcare and educational facilities to industrial complexes. Mark's background includes substantial experience in structural engineering through earlier roles at Carpenter Wright Engineers and Cornerstone Engineering, where involvement in the design of commercial and light industrial projects was prominent. Mark holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University.
