Melissa Lagrant

Melissa LaGrant has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Melissa currently holds the position of Global Head of Compliance at Barings, starting in 2023. Prior to this role, Melissa worked at Barings LLC for many years, serving as Head of Core Compliance, Head of Regulatory Risk, Managing Director, and CCO for Barings Open and Closed End Mutual Funds and BDC. Before joining Barings LLC, they worked at Loomis, Sayles & Company as a Vice President. Melissa also held positions at Deutsche Asset Management, Deutsche Bank, Scudder Investments, and Zurich Scudder Investments, all in assistant vice president roles.

Melissa LaGrant earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Suffolk University Law School from 1995 to 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations and Affairs from Simmons University from 1991 to 1995. Melissa also holds additional certifications in Series 7 and 24, obtained from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
