Madelaine D'Angelo is a seasoned professional in the art investment and museum sectors, currently serving as Co-Founder at Barker since 2024. Previously, D'Angelo founded and led Arthena, a quantitative investment and research firm focused on art assets, from January 2014 until September 2024. D'Angelo's experience also includes roles in prestigious institutions such as the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Smithsonian Institution's Freer and Sackler Galleries, along with a fellowship at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. D'Angelo holds a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from Harvard University, as well as degrees in Management with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Art History from The Catholic University of America, and completed Appraisal Studies at New York University. Additionally, D'Angelo studied the history of costume during a semester abroad at École Parsons à Paris.
