Emily Schmiedeler

Emily Schmiedeler has a diverse work experience in the creative field. Emily currently holds the position of Creative Director at Barkley, a role they began in September 2022. Prior to this, they were the Associate Creative Director at Barkley from October 2020 to September 2022. Emily also has experience as a Freelance Designer, working independently since July 2019. Before joining Barkley, they held various roles at the company, including Associate Creative Director from March 2018 to June 2019, Senior Designer from September 2017 to March 2018, Designer from September 2016 to September 2017, and Junior Designer from February 2014 to September 2016. Emily began their career as a Design Intern at Barkley from October 2013 to January 2014. In addition to their work at Barkley, Emily has served as a Graphic Designer for the West 18th Street Fashion Show from March 2016 to July 2016. Emily also worked as a Graphic Designer/Photographer for the University of Kansas Student Housing Association from August 2012 to December 2012. Emily gained early experience as a Graphic Design Intern at Whiskey Design from May 2012 to August 2012, where they created various print materials and assisted with client meetings and photo shoots. Prior to this, they worked as a T-Shirt Warrior at ACME Lawrence from June 2011 to June 2012.

Emily Schmiedeler earned their Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Graphic Design from The University of Kansas, attending from 2009 to 2013.
