Mike Westgate

Mike Westgate has spent over 15 years managing, pursuing, and delivering large-scale civil projects across Canada. His strong skills in management, strategy, and negotiation have carried over into Business Development, where his experience on design-build and public-private partnership civil projects promotes project delivery efficiencies, value creation, and risk mitigation for clients and partners alike.

After working as the Vice President – Major Projects for EllisDon’s Civil Division, Mike joined Barnard in early 2019. Having held leading roles on numerous successful civil and transportation projects at EllisDon, he has great insight into the Canadian heavy civil market. Mike earned an MBA, with specializations in Real Estate & Infrastructure and Finance, from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto, Ontario. He also earned a BESc in Civil Engineering from Western University, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.
