Gustaf Grapengiesser has a long and varied career in the media and communications industry. Gustaf began their career in 2000 as a Copywriter for Kommun Communications. In 2001, they became the CEO and Founding Partner of Smith Reklambyrå, where they established marketing strategies and put them into work. In 2004, they became a Partner in Rodeo Magazine, and also a Founding Partner of Urbanista and Got2get. In 2008, they became a Founding Partner of Got2get. From 2011 to present, they have been a Board Member of NonStop Entertainment AB, Founding Partner of Barnebys, Tutor at Berghs School of Communication, and Board Member of StockRepublic. In 2022, they will become the Coordinator for SWAN Swedish Residency Network (Emergency residencies).

Gustaf Grapengiesser has a diverse educational background. Gustaf began their studies in 1998 at Stockholm University, where they studied Art Theirtory. In 1999, they attended Forsbergs Skola for Copywriting. In 2011, they obtained an ARU certification from Berghs School of Communication. In 2018, they attended Malmö University for courses in Political Science, Postcoloniality and Intersectionality, and The Right to Life and Modern Conceptions of Life. Gustaf then attended Lund University in 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government, with a focus on Politics of Climate Change, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Visual Culture, with a focus on Art as political practice. Finally, they are currently pursuing a Master's degree at Malmö University and has taken courses at the University of Gothenburg.
