Andy Garbutt

Andy Garbutt serves as the Executive Vice President of Real Estate and Group Development for Barnes & Noble, Inc. and Waterstones since November 2019, overseeing strategic real estate initiatives and group development for both businesses. Prior to this role, Andy worked as a Property Adviser for various UK retailers, focusing on the Waterstones property portfolio and advising retailers on cost reduction and store openings. Previously, Andy held significant positions such as Business Development Director for Poundland & Dealz, Corporate Development Director at Card Factory PLC, and spent several years at PricewaterhouseCoopers as Retail and Leisure Director. Early career experience includes roles at The Exchange Group as Commercial Manager and The Coba Group as a Consultant. Education was completed at Lancaster University with a BSc in Management and German.
