Catherine Riccards

Catherine Riccards possesses extensive experience in investigation and business conduct, currently serving as the Director of Investigations at Barnes & Noble, Inc. since May 2017. Prior to this role, Catherine held the position of Sr. Director of Investigations and Business Conduct at Hudson's Bay Company from February 2014 to May 2017, and served as Sr. Director of Professional Standards at Saks Fifth Avenue from August 2009 to February 2014, where responsibilities included overseeing internal investigations. Earlier in their career, Catherine worked as Special Counsel at the NYC Department of Investigation and as Investigative Counsel at the NYC Department of Buildings. Additionally, Catherine was an Assistant Corporation Counsel at NYC Corporation Counsel from 2001 to 2005. Catherine earned a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Tulane University Law School and holds a BA and BS in Political Science and Legal Communications from Ohio University.
