Director System Formers & Color Concepts Innovation at Barnet Products

Katiuska Matos has a diverse work experience in the cosmetics and personal care industry. Katiuska started their career as a Laboratory Technician at Materials Characterization Center, Inc. where they worked in the Materials Characterization Center division from June 2006 to August 2009.

Katiuska then joined Kolmar Labs. Group Company in March 2012 as an R&D Chemist in the Personal Care Laboratory and Innovation. In this role, they gained expertise in the formulation and reformulation of cosmetic and personal care products, including emulsion technology for foundations, eyeliners, moisturizers, lipsticks, blushes, cleansers, mascaras, and more. Katiuska worked at Kolmar Labs. Group Company until January 2015.

In January 2015, Katiuska Matos joined Barnet Products as a Senior Chemist in the Application Lab. Here, they developed skincare products and color cosmetics, focusing on creating innovative formulations based on marketing trends. Katiuska worked on this role until December 2018.

After that, they transitioned to the role of Manager Innovation & Trends at Barnet Products in January 2018. In this position, they led the Global Innovation Center department and was responsible for driving speed-to-market and innovation initiatives. Katiuska managed the in-house formulation library and innovation lab. Katiuska remained in this role until December 2020.

Katiuska then took on the role of Director System Formers & Color Concepts Innovation at Barnet Products in January 2020. In this role, they worked closely with the Group VP on innovation strategy and aligning it with the company's priorities and strategic goals. Katiuska actively participated in new product brainstorming sessions and provided global innovation leadership to aid the Lab manager.

Throughout their career, Katiuska Matos has demonstrated a strong expertise in developing and formulating cosmetic and personal care products, along with a keen focus on innovation and staying abreast of market trends.

Katiuska Matos earned a Master's degree in Industrial and Physical Pharmacy and Cosmetic Sciences from Long Island University. Katiuska completed their studies at the university from 2009 to 2011.
