As the partner responsible for the Small Self-Administerd Schemes (SSAS) business at Barnett Waddingham, Andrew is involved in setting the direction for the firm's approach to that business and the investment that will be made to support continuing development of services to our clients. Andrew participates in industry debates and government consultations and is a past chairman of the industry body representing SSAS providers.

As a keen public speaker, he regular speaks at industry conferences and also internal teach-ins at wealth managers, IFAs, accountancy firms and discretionary fund managers.

Andrew has spent his career specialising in small self-administered schemes, helping clients understand how to get the most from these schemes and navigate the pension legislation that govern them.

He has particular technical expertise in relation to the impact of the Lifetime Allowance and more generally is part of the firm’s internal technical committee which investigates more unusual queries.

Andrew maintains a small number of clients but generally restricts his involvement to an oversight function for new clients, supporting his experienced team of SSAS specialists.
