Paul Jayson

Partner at Barnett Waddingham

Paul is a partner working in our London and Amersham offices and, in addition to his client responsibilities, has a firmwide remit for Business Development, including oversight of our client care programme.

Paul advises a range of UK businesses on DB pension issues including risk reduction exercises, scheme funding, pension benefit design and accounting disclosures. He also acts as Scheme Actuary to a number of clients.

Paul advises a range of clients, providing actuarial, consultancy and strategic advice on benefit and investment issues to trustee boards as well as helping companies in dealing with their pension issues. His aim is to give practical advice that takes account of the wider commercial context of the business. He also has wide experience of advising owner directors and senior executives on pension issues.

He is keen to 'break the mould' of pension consulting giving clear, uncomplicated and practical advice to clients so that they can see the bigger picture and have all the information needed to make robust and informed decisions.

Whilst always seeking a collaborative approach between trustees and employer and a 'sensible' resolution to matters such as funding, Paul never shies away from empowering his clients with strong arguments to further their negotiations.
