Evan Wood

Course Leader: BA Hons Fine Art Practice at Barnsley College

Evan Wood has a diverse work experience in the education and art sectors. Evan started their career in 2004 as a Photographer, where they explored various photographic methods to convey their ideas and questions. In 2005, they worked as a Photography Technician at West Nottinghamshire College and later as a Photography Lecturer at Chesterfield College. In 2007, they joined Doncaster College as a Programme Leader for HND Photography and eventually became the Programme Leader until 2015. In 2015, Evan joined Barnsley College as the HE Curriculum Leader and later took on the role of Course Leader for BA Hons Fine Art Practice in 2018.

Evan Wood began their education at The Glasgow School of Art, where they pursued a BA Honours in Photography from 2001 to 2004. Evan then went on to attend De Montfort University from 2007 to 2009, earning an MA in Photographic Practice within the field of Fine Art. Continuing their education, Evan enrolled in the University of Hull from 2010 to 2012, completing a PGCE degree in Education.
