Nicola Gabbitas has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Nicola began their career in 2003 at Neo Photography, where they first worked as a Portrait Photographer and Image Restorer before becoming a Studio Manager. In 2010, Nicola joined Venture Photography Sheffield as a Photographic Sales & Corporate Gift Manager, a role they held until 2014. Nicola then worked at Dearne ALC Secondary School as a Supply Teacher from 2014 to 2015. In the same year, Nicola also worked as a Photography Teacher at Barnsley College. Nicola joined The Sheffield College in 2015, where they held various roles. Nicola started as a Digital eLearning Technologist and was later promoted to Senior Technician. Currently, Nicola is working as a Lecturer at The Sheffield College.
Nicola Gabbitas has a diverse education history that spans several years and covers a range of subjects. Nicola started their educational journey at All Saints Catholic High School, where they obtained their GCSE in ten subjects from 1995 to 2001. Following that, they pursued A Levels in English Literature at the same school from 2001 to 2003.
After completing their A Levels, Nicola attended The Sheffield College, where they obtained a National Diploma in Fine Art/Photography from 2003 to 2005. Nicola continued their studies at the same college and completed another A Level, this time in Photography, from 2006 to 2008.
Nicola's education path took a shift towards teacher training when they enrolled at The Sheffield College again in 2013. Nicola undertook a Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector course, focusing on City & Guilds Teacher Training, which they completed in 2014.
Nicola's educational journey culminated at The University of Huddersfield, where they pursued a Certificate in Education specializing in Teacher Training from 2014 to 2016.
Throughout their education, Nicola has steadily built a varied background, starting from their early academic years in high school, developing their skills in art and photography, and ultimately transitioning into the field of education and teacher training.
