Alasdair John Parker

Alasdair John Parker is an experienced project manager and enterprise champion currently serving Barnsley Council since March 2014. In this role, Alasdair oversees the Business Education Alliance, managing projects focused on business development and educational integration. Previously, Alasdair worked as a Business & Enterprise Officer at Barnsley College, where responsibilities included project management of an ERDF Match Funded Project and supporting business start-ups, while also embedding enterprise within academic curricula. Alasdair’s background also includes advisory roles at Business Link Yorkshire and Business Link West Yorkshire, emphasizing business development initiatives. Alasdair holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of Leeds, completed in 2005, and attended Stratton Upper School from 1997 to 2002.
