Denise Hammontree

Denise Hammontree has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Denise started their career at Greenleaf Behavioral Health Center as the Quality, Resources, and Development Director. Denise then moved on to Charter Behavioral Health System, LLC as the Sr. Manager-Recruitment/Interim HR Manager. Denise also worked at North Fulton Regional Hospital as the Human Resources Development Officer. Denise later joined SGMC/SOWEGA~AHEC as an Area Manager, where they collaborated with medical school deans and recruited healthcare professionals for underserved areas. Denise then served as the Director Physician Services at SGMC-South Georgia Medical Center. Denise went on to work at SOWEGA~Area Health Education Center as a Project Grant Coordinator. Denise's next role was as the Chief Administrative Officer at Barnes Healthcare Services, where they provided executive leadership in various areas including HR and IT. Denise then joined the Georgia Department of Public Health as the Training and Development Manager, responsible for coordinating meaningful training for ten counties. Most recently, Denise worked at Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa as the Regional Human Resource Director, overseeing three North Georgia resort properties. Denise is currently serving as the Director of People & Culture at Barnsley Resort.

Denise Hammontree has a diverse educational background. Denise obtained a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership from Mercer University, completing their studies in 2007. Denise also earned a Master's degree in Public Administration with a Healthcare Concentration from Valdosta State University in 2010. In 1996, Denise received a Human Resource Certificate from the Institute of Business Law. Additionally, they acquired certification as a Leadership Development Facilitator from Development Dimensions International in 2000. Denise attended the American Academy of Medical Management in 2011, but it is unclear whether they completed a degree there. Overall, Denise has a strong background in leadership and organizational studies, with additional expertise in public administration and healthcare.
